Hey Mace, no plans here. I don't have anything against bikers, but I can't wait for the Easy Rider Rodeo, here in Chillicothe to END!!! Our scanner has been NONE stop all weekend with runs and have had the bird (chopper) called out to the fair ground twice, for injuries. Be Safe, I'm home for the weekend too!!

No the hospital's not far just had trauma's and they needed flew to Columbus. I'm on duty now, get off @ 4:30 we have already had 2 runs since getting on at 9:30. Be SAFE and take care.

When you reach 5 years in the fire comapny you get papers from the county saying you are an eempt firefighter. The organization is basically for the old timers who are no longer active but still like to get together. They raise money that they give us, help at functions, etc. We have active members who are members of exempts also but I waiting till I old & gray. LOL

The exempts who are also active members yes still carry minitors and respond to calls. You can be an active & exempt member at the same time.

we only have two seasons up here cold and colder the ice never leaves the kinzua dam it sort of floats to the bottom, then along about october 1 it starts it's way back up

Randy,Good news I made it home the same way I left.Bad news is those trees arent going to grow back.Lots of devestation out there.My crew worked two fires while we where in country.Second one was a good one Slopes where 60-80% up, but us flatlanders kicked so ass while we where there.Got some exclent reviews from the US Forest service.We where highly favored and where the last crew to be released.

LOL are you saying that I am a spoile Cali girl lol. No, it's cool I admit that I am spoiled lol here in Southern Cali. lol. Not to much extra time to do anything else but fight fire.Stayed inn a fire camp with about a thousand others.We got pulled off that job to go to another about 80 miles away .We where the inital attack crew so we got our share.All 60-80% slope mountains.Still worn out but ready to go back for more.

LOL true true... well it's not the Four Season because I love seeing the orange and red leaves in the Fall, the green grass etc... but it's just the darn snow. I can not get warm even if I have a heavy coat or cocco or a fire lol. My sister owns a house here in Mammoth Ca and I have only been there once...it was beautiful but I couldn't stand the cold lol. I went up wtih a cold and ended up getting so sick that well it was not cool lol. In any case hope your day is going well. Take care and be safe.Oh and by the way... I know Fl is beautiful but the humidity is so horrid lol that is the beauty of Cali. no humidity or very little of it.

LOL, yeah one thing is for sure we pay the price in living for the sunshine. Yeah it's true the traffic situation is really bad and so is the road rage. However, I think most major cities like Los Angeles, in NY, Chicago all those heavy populated areas get nasty with traffic. In reality I have lived in Southern Cali. for most my life but I would love one day to have a little house out in the country. Not to far from civilization but far enough to have my privacy. As a matter of fact, many people are having issues buying homes right now. I guess banks aren't loaning much money unless you make three times what you pay for mortgage in a month...yeah it's bad. I figure get some experience here and then go get myself a house out in Texas or some state like that. Somewhere that doesn't snow lol. In any case, hope things work out for your friend.
