Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I was very lucky in HS to be able to ride with a FD. They absolutly loved their job and I enjoyed the excitment of "not knowing" I always wanted to help people and I figured after that experiance I too would try it...and I love it just as much as they do.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
the excitiment of never knowing whats going to happen next.

Firefighter / Paramedic in the same station or seperate? We are trying putting in the same station, but still kept seperate from Fire. Like to see a better team working together than have a wall up.

just wanted to say hey and c how ur doing???
  • Randy Macey

So are we talking like a Vol. or Man station....
I have seen some different set ups from different areas. One station I met the guys from the East Coast in Canada. They have one guy that stays at the hall. He is required to bring the truck well the rest of the firefighters go to the call in there vech.

Sounds the same as what we have here... Although some of your Vol. Stations allow you to have emergency lights on your personal vech. is that correct. We use green lights, which are just informing the public that this is a Vol. firefighter.

im doing good. just got done with rescue training. got a few more parts to go in the class but its all good.
  • Randy Macey

Your right, would be nice that we where all on the same page and have the same rules. As far as I know for Canada, Green Lights is only allowed no Siren. Train the people that we did not cause the problem, we are there to fix it. So not to cause another problem, drive with care.

    Hi Miss Jessica!

Check out Roll Call Forum and put some info about your Fire House in... Like to hear what your station is like, what you have as well as for number for firefighters as well as number of calls. Pass it around to your Firefighter Friends too....
