Does anyone know where I can find literature on the Ohio law that restricts employers from firing/repremanding a volunteer because he missed/was late for work due to a fire run? I've had some hints dropped at work that my "tardiness is a problem that needs taken care of". I just want to go in prepared of the shit does hit the fan.

  • Jack Linthwaite

Hi John, we recently ha done of our Captain's take a train the trainer driver coarse, during the training they were teaching that driver sof responding vehicles are now required to stop at each individual lane when crossing a two lane or multiple lane road, the reason was that a responding squad was crossing a multiple lane road and when the first vehicle cleared they proceeded across and didnot see the 2nd vehicle resulting in a very serious crash in which the driver of the squad was cited. this will probably cause quite a discussion as it did when our department was informed of this.
