I am new to this site and thought throwing a posting on here may be helpful with our search. I will start with a little background. I am Chief of Johns Creek Volunteer Fire Department in New Castle VA. We are an all volunteer department with 15 members and 3 apparatus. We cover the second largest coverage of the county. Our primary first due area is 105 sq. miles. Including our automatic and mutual aid area we cover close to 300 sq miles extending into Giles, VA and Monroe, West Virginia. We are currently search for an used pumper or pumper/Tanker to replace our 1980 American LaFrance pumper. It has been our first run truck since 1998. It is currently down with plumbing and pump issues. The repairs have been estimated at far more than our budget permits. We are looking for a truck between late 80s to early 90s with minimum 1,000 gal capacity. Our two greatest issues is the size restrictions of our bays being 28'L and 10'H and our budget. We have been searching online with little luck. If anyone knows of any departments parting with any apparatus please send me any information. Thanks
