i personaly think its a great idea!!!!

i am trying to get an authorized emergency vehicle permit
out here in Cali.
its takes a lot of work but it makes sence for us to have em,
because then we can respond to emerencies and also if we
find our selves in a situatuion where we need em (still alarms, non dis-patched calls)
we coud shut down streets, become a visibility aspect on the roads, and
there are plenty of other reasons why explorers should have warning lights (and maybe sirens)

Explorer Capt. Marc Hurwitz
Los Angeles City Fire Department
We are allowed to have them and run them on scene, just not enroute
well i know around where i live theres only one department that runs lights and sirens and thats Ira twp. and where im an explorer, the only vehicles that are to be running lights and sirens are township owned or city owned vehicle. so all POV's arnt allowed to be running lights or sirens, around here that means only the cheifs SUV has lights and sirens
I really could careless. As long they don't miss use them
