Fallsburg Volunteer Fire Department In Need Of Donations

I am trying to help out my fire department. We are a very rual department and are in need of any and all donations we can get for any type of equipment and gear. we have firefighter who have no gear so they can not respond to calls. we have no uniforms to march in. Sme of are trucks are as old as 1960's models we only have 1 new truck and it is a 2000 the rest of them are 1960's models. So Please if anyone can help us out it would be great. I feel you pain and I am sure most others in FFN will feel your pain as well. We ALL are in this economic nightmare together. Unfortunately I don't have any personal fire apparatus I can send, nor any equipment. Things just cost way too much money. Have a FUND DRIVE. Levy a FIRE TAX. APPLY for GRANTS. Money never falls in your lap, you have to get out there and get it.

I feel for you as far as equipment and turnout gear, but uniforms to march in should be a very low priority, the members of my department by there own uniforms. You need to prioritize a list of your true needs and apply for grants.
