Count me in as well. You might look into Yahoo or ESPN as the platform to use.
I play on both and have a good time, even if i don't do too good sometimes.
I can do both.

There will be more in depth information in the group though.
The single most important day of the year is Draft Day.

Now does this mean you can't overcome a poor draft? Not at all, but...it's a lot harder!

A strong draft does not win you a championship, but it is a great head start.

Draft Strategy

Common practice is taking a RB in the first round.
And many times again in the second round...why you ask.

RB's handle the ball more than WR's do, RB's have a bigger potential to gain 100 yards a game and score at least 1 TD. That accounts for 16pts!
RB's dont normally throw interceptions -2pts.
If a running back has a bad game he scored 6 instead of 16.
If a QB has a bad game he can score -6pts.
But again if he has a great game he can score 35!

WR's are a lot like running backs, but there are only a few who average 100yds a game, and even fewer who score 10 TD's a year. Randy Moss being an exception.
WR's can go a game without a single catch, or catch 3 TD's and gain 200 yds.
That is a 38pt game!

RB's are steady points. You can count on them to average a similar number each week, with the exceptional game thrown in...
The biggest risk is injury...for the same reason RB's are big point getters, they are injury prone...lots of carries.

Now you can go with a QB with the 10th pick and still get a John Kitna who can be a great pick. But if Randy Moss is still there, or Joseph Adai...do you pass them up?

Look at the teams who win leagues and they are RB heavy, and have a top 20 QB, but not so often do they have a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.
OK have you in the Advanced league...can move you down to the veterans league as season approaches.

I will add your team name when you pass it along.
i'll play. i was in a fire fighter league last year using fox sports. i won it all.
I'm thinking the week before opening games.

Seeing as we are either on shift or working other jobs during the week.

It will most likely be a weekend morning...say after duty time(11am or so central), so the ones on shift can draft in person.

Will get with everyone as soon as the league registrations open.
So far none are ready to go...
Count me in sounds like fun .
Damon...beginner, or advanced?
beginner Rockport Dalmatians
OK you are added. That sets it at 8 players in beginners league and 7 in the Advanced.

Beginning to wonder how many leagues we are going to have.

Could get pretty crowded by August.
