Steve's from Quebec, so we'll try and assist with the 'translation,'

"I'm currently working on a procedure to remove bunker gear, from a firefighter, that has been exposed to extreme heat. I have recognized that there are three steps:

• Immediate removal of gear, minimizing contact with the firefighter
• Wet the firefighter and gear with a hoseline first
• Do a combination of wetting down the firefighter and gear, while removing the gear

I would like to know if your department has any procedures or have done any tests. There are some specifics that indicate applying water could cause more burns.
