I dont know about you but I love tying knots. Does anyone have any useful knots that they would like to share other than the ones that are commonly used?

Thank you this will be a great help, the more of this we can do the more we can all learn
We use the alpine butterfly on the belay line connecting it to the stokes before going to the rescuer. This seems to aid in reducing clutter in small topside areas. It also works well in confined space. Hope this helps you out.

Good Morning Matt:  I was running through Firefighter Nation this morning and came across your post for rope manuals in PDF format.  If you still have these Rope manuals in the PDF format I would love to use them.  We have a academy that I could use them in and use them for continuous training.

Please send them to: David.Brandt@League City.com

There's also the option to add them as an attachment at he bottom of his responses within these forums- that way everyone can access them.

if yes, would it be possible for u to send it to me?

So many knots with same functions, largely unuseful but rope showing or for mountain sports. We don't have to remember or use so many knots,Double eight,Munter hitch,Double fisherman's knots are most frequently used.
