9-11 Museum and Victims' Remains
Construction of the 9-11 Museum is expected to be completed between 2013 and 2014. Ever since design details were first revealed the families of some victims not identified have expressed their grief and anger that those remains are planned to be stored seven stories underground, in a identified flood zone. Many firefighters’ and their families have joined with others to protest this plan and have renewed their efforts after the damage done in the World Trade Center area by flooding from Hurricane Sandy. If the remains are placed below grade, against the families’ wishes, would you still go to the 9-11 Museum?

Why is "history" such a hard thing to learn from? Because individuals making decisions are willing to take a calculated risk with others property and lives.
History will repeat itself, regardless of what mankind wants to happen when it comes to mother nature.
I am a California firefighter involved with disaster preparedness and even we out west have been learning about the pending disasters that await the entire East coast due to severe storms and flooding. Its not "if", its about "when." And, if recent events with the "little" hurricane Sandy (Sandy was not a Catigory 5) and the extreme flooding that took place for Sandy is exactly why every decision maker should think about making decisions of this magnitude for the honored placement of 911 Heros.
To all the family members of those fallen Hero's of 911 your West Coast brothers and sisters will stand behind your quest to keep your family member safe!
