SCBA POLICIES
what are your sops regarding SCBA usage how many bottles can be used before you are requied to rehab,is there a max on site before you are through doing interior operations.I realise that this will probably differ between climates but it would be interesting to hear your views on this topic. Including whether you are monitored by a member of your own department or a paramedic to certify you fit to continue .

we allow two bottles per person then they must go for rehab,all our firemen have their blood presures in our rehab vehicle,so when they come for rehab they get o bottle of water a snack of some kind and then there blood presure taken if it is high they sit have another bottle of water and get rechecked once it has come down they are allowed to return to service,our first responders were trained by B.C.A.S.(British Columbia ambulance service)personel to monitor firefighters
