I havent either I have heard however sometimes Rosenbauer can cut corners, I dont know if this is true just trying to get a better idea from those who work with them.

A Rosenbauer maintenance facility is right around the corner from me in Niagara Falls and there are constantly apparatus there so I dont know whether there are just a lot of Rosenbauer equipment out there or they just have a lot of problems. Personally my company likes US Tanker here is ours that we bought recently:

Our 2009 Rosenbauer Tanker has been a pain. Cookie cutter truck, not custom. Good distributor support has helped. Bought primarily on price. Toyne had a pony pump in the compartment but did make it to the final 3. Kenworth is an excellent choice. If you want more send me a note with your#.

The Toyne we spec'd out has a 1000 gpm darley pump on it, I have heard good things about the kenworth a few people are concerned on how Toyne integrates the multiplex wireing from the chasis throughout the truck I on the other hand thinks it only makes sense. Toyne also offers a better warranty than Rosenbauer. I must admit im partial to Toyne because i have yet to hear anything bad about them and ive spoken to several people. What kind of problems did or are you expiriencing with your Rosenbauer?

Electrical, brake and some detail issues on assembly. Again it was a stock design, 2000 gal, 500 gpm Hale, swivel dump. The Toyne had a real solid design and a neighboring co has one and is very pleased with it. But our specs said PTO pump and they sent a bid in on one with a diesel engine pony pump in the compartment!? My previous co has 2 Central States 1-tanker 1-eta, and that's what the Rosebbauer tanker now is if I'm correct. Those 2 trucks while being basic have been solid trucks for more than 10 years.

Thanks a bunch! Some of the guys are leaning towards the rosenbauer because they personally know the salesmen but i keep telling them that doesnt mean the truck is solid just because hes a nice guy.
