Are you or anyone you know Gluten Intolerant? What about on a Gluten Free Diet?

Does it make it harder eating meals at the station?

I have heard (and you will most likely reinforce this) that the station meals are wonderful! Right?

On the other hand,

Have you ever treated a patient with gluten intolerance? A reaction to Gluten?

I have heard that I need not wear a MedicAlert Bracelet because no procedure that EMS would ever need to perform would make any difference because none of the drugs that EMS carry have Gluten in them.

Either they contain no Gluten or Gluten cannot be absorbed by the bloodstream, I am not sure which.

Do you know the answer?

My wife's Aunt was just diagnosed as being Gluten Intolerant, which has led to a higher awareness in our own family. Lately we've noticed there are more gluten free products out there as well as some supermarkets having an entire gluten free section!

As far as I know, no one at the firehouse has made us aware that they're Gluten Intolerant, nor have I yet treated a patient with gluten Intolerance. I'm sure it's just a matter of time for either one.
