It's not uncommon to see American flags on fire apparatus.

On uniforms...

or even stickers, patches and badges.

Question 1 • Is the USA flag something that your department includes on your uniform and/or fire apparatus?

Question 2 • If you are not from the USA, does your department displays their countries flags the same as we do in the USA?

Always on our uniforms, helmets and turnouts on my volunteer deparment here in Templeton, Ca.. USA, USA, USA !!!
All our apparatus have flags, various sizes, the largest being the rear of our truck. Our class 'A' uniforms have only our regional crest on both arms. Our Work uniforms or class 'B' have our regional crest and a community tag on one arm and the Canadian flag on the other. We are a composite dept. with 30 volunteers and 1 career per shift. Career and volunteer uniforms are basically similar
Uniforms yes, Apparatus no, a few guys have one on their gear.
Perhaps, but you do have the cool chrome MSA fire helmets!

Post 9-11 Reminders are ever present in our minds and hearts... and in some cases, helmets denoting the USA flag are included in both poster graphics and actual fire helmets.

Large labor organizations for firefighters have also adopted a red, white and blue patriotic theme for their logo.
