Has anyone use the new Search Sleeve? Seems like a good product to me and was thinking about buying one. If you have used one I would like to know what you think of it, if you haven't still give your opinion on it would like to know what everyone thinks.

maybe the other folks have cock-eyed heads and it isn't the light

Wouldn't we all fit into that catagory? I mean really, who in their right mind would actually think of doing the stuff we do?

:-D
Have never been accused of "being in my right mind".....LOL
The idea looks good saw something similar on startrek id drop the size of the torch and go for a smaller hi power led and mount it as far back up the forearm as poss to eliminate the pocket issue
I have bought it and it has worked well for me so far the only problem I have is when I take my coat off the elastic is still tight and I have a hard time getting my arm back in the coat. So Jack I was wondering if you have had this problem or if it will losing up with use?
My wife was downtown during the evening a couple of weeks ago and had the opportunity to watch us at a business who's building mounted sign was on fire. She made the comment that it appeared that while our helmet lights are bright we were constantly trying to point out things to each other that were not in the beam of our lights. Last Monday I went to the mailbox and found a surprise package from my wife of a search sleeve and a light. I took my new treasure to the station with me on Tuesday and put it on my turn out coat. It was a fairly quiet shift, couple of medicals, a gas meter that had been hit and a transformer fire. Wednesday morning about 6:45 just before shift change we got hit with a structure fire with a possible elderly lady trapped. I was assigned as one of a two man search team while two others set up a fan (we use positive pressure attack) and stretched the first line. The search sleeve works excellent, it was great having a "hands free" light were I needed it. Like one of the other posters said it is a bit tight while donning or doffing the coat but it's nothing that one can't get used to. My only problem is that I'm mad at myself for not thinking of this design myself.
It works great and I will recommend it highly.
Good Morning Mike, My wife bought me one of these and I'll tell you that it's great. It may be a fad but I find it to be a really useful tool. TCSS brother.
