Active Wives Group Here?

Hey ladies, I'm just looking to find out if this is a group that's active or if there is another. I know this site is active, but not seeing recent movement here in the group. I'm definitely interested in connecting with other wives :)

Hoping to hear back from many that YES they are still here.

Hey Val I hear ya, group has not overly active but let's light a fire under it! (sorry feeling punny this morning!) Are you personally involved in the dept at all - auxilary, EMS or FF?? Or just feeling the weight of being a spouse of a FF & watching him go off to fires.

Volunteer or paid dept?

Not personally involved in the department. My friend and I have talked about some kind of new wives thing because even though our guys were hired on together, our experiences were so different. I'm not sure if this is something an auxilary would normally handle. Been meaning to check into that.

He was volunteer for 7 years (I think, kids were little, it's a blur) and got hired on almost 4 years ago. YAH

I get excited for him if I hear there's a fire. Being a volunteer wife set me up with a different mindset. For 7 years I was the one waking him up when the pager went off and telling him what the call was and kicking him out of bed. lol I miss knowing what the call is and having to hear about it much later.

I'll see about starting some conversations here and getting some others to join in with us.
