Nothing that we say about the Tennesee incident is going to fix the problems in Obion County. That is a mess for the county policticans to resolve or potentially not. The fact of the matter is  it is consuming the FFN website, and that is ridiculous.

Lets go back to "Hey what color is your fire truck", "explorers responding", or "leaving school" or "who is allowed to run lights and sirens in a POV".

Because nothing we say to eachother is going to correct any of the problems down there. This is just drawing a line amongst brother and sisters.

Hey I want to have IAFF condem NBC for no more third watch myself. I'm going to raise hell at my next local meeting.

It's an interesting subject, but I agree with you. Hopefully we'll hear some positive news from Tennessee in the future.

I liked that show Trauma too (except for people having sex in the ambulance that is just gross !!!!) - add that to the list

And while you are at it - I REALLY like the shows Emergency and MASH growing up - can you get that back on the air too.

emergancy rocked! what ever happen to chet?lol

You are absolutely correct!  Nothing we can say or suggest here is going to solve the problems of Tennessee unless some of us live there.  However, it is damage to the reputation of the fire service, and to volunteer firefighters specifically.

If indeed "this is just drawing a line amongst brother and sisters.", then perhaps we have placed too much emphasis on this issue.  While it's certainly not trivial, it is equally not the highest priority.  Just my thoughts.

wasnt it a paid dept from the city that coverd that subscription?

i'm here because of emergency

and mash boy are we showing our age

Yea, shows like Emergency, Mash, and of coure the 1974 show Firehouse. Holly shit we are getting old.

Sad to say I watched Emergency when it was a Friday Night 8pm prime time slot on a B/W  television with mom and pop. As so with Adam 12, and Mash.

Funny thing is they show them on (RTV) Retro TV on Directv network and my kids race to the TV after school, 4pm to watch the Cap, Roy, Johnny Chet and Marco save the world. No swearing, a little womanizing with Johnny and the nurses but all and all good clean fire fun.

Yes glad to see the boards have some new threads, that other mess was just pitting us against each other.

Yup, holly cow adam 12, now that takes me back. But after the 70's the show got bad with thinks like TJ Hooker, what the hell was that other LAFD show in the 80's? Oh and the turd bomb Hunter.

Oh yea the old black and white TV with the Antenna with foil and a coat hanger.

I agree Robert, even the fire department there made suggestions, there was a comprehensive study done in 2008, all with no response or action taken. Therefore, repeatedly making the same posts over personal opinion has produce division here. Is it right? well everyone has the right to their own opinion but the media has delivered mis-information and raw emotion has charged the freight train.

Even if you lived there, you would be hard pressed to fix the way things are don

We can only hope Norm.
