When my husband and I moved into our new home, it was a blessing the the station was in our front yard. Right after final inspection our home caught fire, had it just been a few minutes delay we would have lost everything. As it was the Fire Chief was at our station checking up on some things and was able to put it out. That day I signed up to be a volunteer.
murrieta ca, has a great station and behind it is firefighters park, what could be a better place for both?
no weirdows are gonna prowl a park that is connected to a fire department.
but if noise is a bigger issue then saftey, go ahead and move...lol
I'm glad that my department is just blocks away, and our streets hydrant is in my front yard! got a hose, got a wrench, just bring my bunkers...lol
The positive thing about having a fire station and a park next to each other is kids get to meet the firefighters, learn about fire safety, have fun, and dream. When I was a kid I wanted to hang out with the firefighters because I thought that they rocked like no tomorrow. I so wanted to be a firefighter when I was younger. I just had to wait a few years to accomplish it.
now thats the positive outcome of good role models
