Hello brothers and sisters. The attached video is of the recent counsel meeting from Xenia, Ohio and what our brothers and sisters are being put through in this city. This is the way this particular city is thinking. I don't know the way others are thinking, but I encourage all of you to pay attention to your local politics if you are not already doing so after watching this. This is a complete joke.

Unfortunately this is nothing new. I get a kick out of how the one comment was made that "FFs aren't responsible for anything", because of uniform allowance, PPE purchased, etc.
I give the chief credit for standing stoic and stating how this is a safety issue and explaining the difference between replacing 5 years and not letting it go beyond 10. I also like how the mayor (I believe) put the one council member in their place regarding the bulletproof vest purchase for police.
The motion passed, but the mindset like a couple of these people is definately out there.

Yea it did pass, but unfortunately I think it is only going to get worse in Xenia especially from these two morons. And I would say it would take someone getting really hurt to get them to change their thought process, but I think that may just add more fuel to the fire for these two. I was pretty inpressed with the chief and the mayor actually. He kept his cool, and she (unlike a lot of mayors) did quickly correct the other council member in place.
