BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - News 4's Michele McClintick is live on the scene of a four-alarm business fire.

The fire is at the Superior Pallets Inc. building, located in a highly industrial part of Buffalo.

News 4 is told there are thousands of wood pallets inside the building, but also diesel. News 4 crews have heard explosions going off throughout the morning.

The fire started just before 4:30 a.m. Thursday. No one was inside the building, but one employee on the scene apparently noticed smoke and called 911, according to another employee.

Superior Pallets Inc. is the largest distributor of wood pallets in western New York.

News 4 talked to an employee who was on his way to work Thursday morning and could smell the fire from the Walden Galleria.

"They'll never put it out, they'll never put it out, I don't even think they'll put it out with ten trucks with water. There's just wood and stuff in there, they'll never put it out. They might get it under control but they'll never put it out," said Superior Pallets Inc. employee Joe Gervaise.

Bus drivers for First Student are having trouble getting to work Thursday morning, due to the fire. This is going to create delays for students getting picked up in the Cheektowaga Sloan District and Lackawanna District.

The 97 Rock morning crew can't get to work Thursday morning, because they are located near the fire. They are playing music instead of their usual morning show. The fire is also affecting 103.3 and 104.1.
