"Live" with Regis and Kelly
Hey Fire Family, my wife is a DJ out here in California. She was nominated along with 115,000 women in radio in a search for the best woman DJ in America. Today, they narrowed it down to the top 10 women DJs in America and she made the list. We can go to their web site and vote for her to be chosen as the best female DJ in America. If she is chosen, she will co-host the show with Regis while Kelly is on vacation. Could you please help me out by voting for my wife??? Her name is Kristin Cruz from KOST 103.5 in Los Angeles. same way as the lady body builder who was the recipient of many votes from ffn members. But on the other hand, she IS a firefighter who was looking for votes. But does our hospitality not go out to family of firefighters as well?

having just seen this post, and after the voting has been completed I wanted to throw my two cents in as far as your question Paul, fire/ems related?... I would compare this with one of my firefighters kids coming in selling girl scout cookies... It's a given that you would help out your firefighters, and this includes wives involved involved in a contest. No difference in my mind... Matt asked for help, and had I seen this post earlier, would have gladly taken a moment to help out. It's kind of what we do, even in retirement, which by the way is a very nice place to be... You have time to see some very cool things...

Congratulations! I see she'll be on the show. I also noticed that Regis and Kelly will have a firefighter on the show tomorrow. This is what the current post says:

yes, I've actually made friends on facebook with two of the fire chef finalist that will be on the show. We're gonna meet up while out in new york. It should be a fun week.
