LOUDON, Tenn. - A fire at a Loudon restaurant caused three firefighters to be sent to a hospital.
WVLT-TV in Knoxville reported the fire was discovered around 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Log Cabin restaurant on Highway 72.
Loudon Fire Chief Mike Brubaker said three firefighters were taken to a hospital after being overcome by heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation. All three were expected to fully recover.
The heat index has been brutal in that region of the U.S. this Summer. Anyone in this area, don't be afraid to call in extra alarms, just to rotate manpower more quickly.
