I am going to be making a decision on purchasing new SCBA's for my company. We have had MSA, Scott and Drager. We currently use MSA low pressure (2.2). The packs are going on 15yrs old.

We are going with 4,500psi bottles this time around. I was impressed with all three manufacturers. The majority of my members liked the Drager due to the good field of vision in the mask, HUDS display was right there where you can see it, the pack fit very well and was comfortable.

Does anyone have reviews of Drager? Would like to hear any imput good or bad. Problems that may have occurred and maintenance.

You should also look at what type of SCBA's your mutual aid company's have. The new scott packs are great, i would recommended them. My dept run's with the new scott packs and we havent had any problem with them, and everyone likes them. Also the scott packs that we have, got great viewing like 30% percent more than the old scott. the percentage might be higher im not sure. , and the heads up display is very nice.
To tell you the truth... i haven't heard of Drager. But, i must say that we just got (and put in service) our new NXG7's by Scott. Those seem to be real nice. I was in a maze last night playing with it. What's nice is that, the bottles glow in the dark, so it luiminates the area your working in. also they have the colored LEDs on the back to show who's PASS is going off, which are cool.
good luck
Tommy
