LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A firefighter has suffered burns while extinguishing a house fire in Jefferson County.



WAVE-TV in Louisville reported a Camp Taylor firefighter received second- and third-degree burns as a fire burned a house in the southern part of the county on Sunday evening.

A firefighter with the Okolona fire department became exhausted in the heat and was also taken to a hospital.

It took about three hours to put out the fire, which was battled by four departments.

No one was home when the fire broke out.
