Hello Firefighting community,

 I would like to ask for a moment of your time. Troy Yokum is an Iraq Vet and EMT who is walking 7,000 miles across the United States to raise funds for the families of our American soldiers. He is also working to gain signatures from mayors and governors as he walks to present to thePresident in April in his efforts to create A National Day of the Deployed. Troy was recently in my city, Kansas City and I was so proud to be a part of the fire service community as each city he entered, Kansas City-( where my grandfather was a captain, my father the Chief and Director and a member for 39 years along with my 3 brothers, and cousins)  Kansas City KS and Independence MO as they met Troy at various points along his route.
