Congratulations on your new position. Like I have always been told, "the best way to save lives and protect property is to never have a fire in the first place". This is a very true statement.

Make sure that you have different programs for the different age groups in your community. Don't forget to include: children, teenagers, adults and senior citizens. Hopefully, you will have plenty of help from other members of your department. It really is a team effort.

Hopefuly, our department will be getting back into the prevention part of our jobs here in the near future. Maybe we could bounce ideas off of each other. Take care and stay safe!!
Thank you rick ive. been helping it out for the last two years and your right its a awsome program. im excited about getting the chance to do it for the kids and the community going to the schools is a big part of why I enjoy doing what im doing. going to the senior center is good too but its just something about the kids how they love the firemen gig (or how many times I have to climb the ladder straight up in full PPE that they love.) Im getting the chance to go the the academy this year or next im excited about that. I would also like some of your ideas for fire prevention and mabey you may like mine i would also be glad to give them. Thanks take care and you also be safe

nick.
