4-alarm fire in Pa. industrial building battled
(Associated Press)

Firefighters in suburban Philadelphia have been battling a four-alarm fire in an industrial building.

The blaze in Custom Particle Inc. and Hawk Mold & Die Supply Inc. in Plumstead, Bucks County, was reported shortly before noon Tuesday and sent clouds of black smoke hundreds of feet into the air.

Authorities say chemicals were stored in the building, but they posed no threat. Firefighters did not evacuate any nearby homes, but advised residents to keep their windows closed and shut off window unit air conditioners.

Some dehydration and heat-related issues were reported among firefighters, but no major injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
