Hey guys/ gals I am looking for a solution to a growing concern of mine within our dept. Aboard our first out engine we have 8 SCBA and 12 Spare Bottles, the Pack And Bottle combos are stored no problem in carriers wether it be in jump seats or the aftermarket snap in systems.... okay heres the problem we have the spare bottles in a plywood structure at the rear of the engine were the box can slide a foot or so side to side this doesnt sit with me to well since the valves stick out of the structure just enough to go for a ride... I was wondering if there was a pre fabricated quick access container in which anyone has seen to mount them in or to free up space for another rescue tool and in cab option our engine is a 1997 eone pumper 1000 gal tank with 1250gpm pump 4 door cab 4 seats rear wall seats were left out....all help is welcome and thanked for in advance if you know of  a product please include as much info as possible so Its easier to obtain information and present to our fire board so we can solve this hazard.

Thanks,

Jake

We use PVC pipes that are just a little bigger then the bottles themselves. They are stored on top of the truck aranged so they won't move around while in motion.
Marty...I have decided pvc is the answer....I am working on a design with the crew now we have decided to go with a alum. diamond plate shell with 8 pvc tubes veritcal inside with pvc caps on the bottom the bottles will be secured by a y style rubber strap...when i get the print finished i will post so we can discus it more and do some likes and hate after all im just the rookie with the degree every one else has experince
Way to step up Jake. Rookie or not.
We used to have a home made rack in our old rescue. We had pvc pipe mounted at a slight angle, so the bottles were always tipped inward so they couldn't slide out on their own.
