We were sitting around the firehouse table the other day talking to a couple of rookies and the subect came up (as it always does) of what tools do you carry with you in your turnout gear an how do you carry them...

So, In my right bunker pants pocket I carry 20' of 1" tube webbing and a carabiner. In the left side is a back-up flashlight and IV set up pack.

In my right jacket pocket in a old "hose pouch" I have channel locks, screwdriver, punch and knife.

In the left side I have Door chocks, nails, shove knifes, 8' section of webbing...

How about you guys?

PS: Will it fit in the pocket of my underwear. LOL "That was a good one" I have to remember that
I goes in the back pocket of your undies. You might be accused of carrying a heavy load though. TCSS
You're right DUST, so I just use a little ash instead :)
DT - that is a great idea. I know of one Station where they used the TIC as a wheel chock. I know the TIC wasn't much good for that purpose, I might suggest the concrete block idea to them!
Mickey....only if your undies are big enough...lol
Jake, you left that one wide open for me, but i'm not going there LOL
You mean you finally gre out of the UNDEROOS???
Wow! You really know how to pack!
flashlight hooked on the outside of the jacket, radio in the radio pocket, 2 pair of latex gloves in the left hand pocket, nomex on left inner pocket and spare nomex on right inner pocket. left pants pocket has left fire glove and multi tool (glass cutting blade, seat belt cutter, window punch). right pants pocket has right fire glove and 12' of webbing, and usually water bottle
Ha,ha!
I used to carry a small fan also....but got too hot in a fire once so now I carry a PPV fan in my pocket! Love the concrete block idea!
