LAS VEGAS - A Clark County Fire Department captain has been indicted on federal charges of enticing a minor for sex.

Authorities say 55-year-old Martin Vohwinkel surrendered to U.S. marshals on Wednesday and is scheduled for an initial court appearance on Thursday.

U.S. Attorney Daniel G. Bogden says that Vohwinkel is accused of using a computer to coerce and entice a person under 18 to engage in sexual activity. The indictment was handed down this week.

The Las Vegas Journal-Review says Vohwinkel is already facing a state charge of using technology to lure a child after he allegedly tried to use the Internet to meet someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl. He was really conversing with a Henderson police detective.

hope the S.O.B gets what comes to him....for a 55 year old man use a computer to entice a young person is beyond me...
A person that is suppose to be trusted? That's why if you have children using the internet, you should be monitoring their use of the computer! If he's convicted, he deserves what he has coming to him!
