Four Phoenix Children Burned, Playing with Gasoline and Matches

PHOENIX - Authorities say four young Phoenix children have been burned in a backyard fire that apparently involved gasoline.

The victims range in age from 6 to 10. Phoenix Fire Department officials say the children were taken to Maricopa County Burn Center on Thursday night and at least one of them is listed in critical condition.

Authorities say the children from different families apparently were playing with matches and a tire in the backyard of a home near Thomas Road and 47th Avenue when gasoline was added for some unknown reason and the fire erupted.

The names of the victims are not immediately available.

question 1: where were the parents to when this was going on?
question 2: how in the world did these kids get their hands on matches and gasoline?

i know the kids don't know much about fire but there should be education from the parents to these kids...they are lucky to be alive.
