7 Dallas Firefighters Hurt Battling Apartment Construction Fire

DALLAS - A fire at a multistory apartment complex under construction in Dallas left at least seven firefighters hurt.

Fire crews Tuesday remained at the scene of the burning, unoccupied units.

Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans confirms seven firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries, with several struck by debris.

Evans says wind blowing through the complex, in a fire reported shortly before 6 p.m. Monday, had fanned the flames overnight. He says part of a floor collapsed.

Investigators believe the fire could be electrical related.
