Firefighters uses Jaws of Life, send man to hospital

REDLANDS – Firefighters used the jaws of Life to pull a driver from his car after he crashed into a telephone pole Tuesday.

At about 4 p.m., a 23-year-old Redlands man crashed into a pole after glancing off of a GMC pickup truck, said Redlands police officer Eric Pendery.

Firefighters had to use the Jaw of Life to pull the man from the crashed car. After complaining of pain on his left side, paramedics took the man to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. There were no other injuries.
