Nearly 1,000 homes burned in Manila fire
Dec. 11, 2009. around 1,000 houses at Sta. Cruz, Manila burned for 6 hours. Including adjacent compounds at Manila City Jail, was forced to evacuate to another compounds at the correction facility. 2 Fatalities are children. The fire reached General Alarm summoning all fire services units from the whole national capital region.
