What kind of leather do you have?

What brand of leather helmet do you run? Mine is an '02 Cairns Sam Houston N6A. I actually bought it off eBay for $270. Got it and looked it up, the helmet is a deluxe version..its sells for about $500 or so brand new. Not a bad deal..

mine is a 04 sam huston N5A. best helmet i ever had. i will never go back to the pollycarbinate again!

I currently have a sam houston 2005, which I bought of ebay for 350 brand new from a fireman from Kansas. It was black, but my dept. wears yellow for firefighters. So I painted it my self with engine block paint. and it came out pretty good. A few cracks from just wear and tear but at least it looks seasoned.

I have a phenix which I've had for about a year now. I bot it off of ebay for $87.50. awsome deal!!! I wouldn't trade it for anything, it's light and doesn't sit high like a N5A does.!!!

Check ebay, but compare new prces also. also check the age of the helmet,how often it was used. IF YOU CAN FIND A WHITE HELMET ,it most likely hasnt been in much heat and in better shape

i have a newyorker i have burned the paint off 3 times and i am on my 2nt set of borks and it is in grate shape i painted it last year it looks brand new

Mine is an N5A, sadly it is the newer MSA one, as it is the replacement for my old Cairns one which suffered an untimely and unspeakable fate. This one was bought for me by the insurance company.

Got my second N5A two months ago when I got back into the fire service. Got my first one in '87. One of the first in my area. Everyone else had 770 Phillys then. Used to tell guys that the Phillys were safe for the top diswaher rack. Leather forever. (Drove a Mack CF 75' 'scope for a few years too. Life was good.)

my department actually just sold a 5 speed 1972 75' mack cf bakerscope sweet running truck. Its now serving proudly in Lancaster County PA

I'm on my second New Yorker. The first one I had for about 10 yrs, after burnning up 3 carnes 660. The department I ran with told me to buy my own. I burnt up the first one in a bad flash over. My wife bought me my second and I have had it for close to 12 yrs. There is nothing better than LEATHER.
