FF1 &2 AGREED!!!
umm thats like getting called to a fire alarm activation at your own firehouse then have the engine check on the air andsay "responding, arriving and standing by"

but back to the photo. we have a problem. call the fire department. wait we are the fire department
Isn't that the Chief's ex-wife's house???
Probie: Oh, sh?t- call the fire department!
Veteran: You dumb-a**- we are the fire department!

They shoulda' bought an HME!!:)
No, Damn B shift
Had that happen at our station once. I was on the BLS Rescue (Ambulance) and we pulled into quarters. We were the only apparatus there. The ALS Rescue and Engine were gone and the EMS Captian was out having lunch. We got out the rig, and imeditatly smelled something burning. We go running into the kitchen and find nothing. We radio it in.

"Rescue 868 to OCD"
"Rescue 868 go ahead"
"OCD, Go a head and create a 'reported smoke' assignment at 9*** Washington Blvd X Orange Dr. at
Fire Station 68"
"Rescue 868 Roger...Rescue 868, E58, E94, LightForce61, RA61, Batt.18, EMS18 respond to the reported smoke at 9*** Washington Blvd. X Orange Dr. at Fire Station #68."
----Immediatly after the Dispatch----
"Rescue 868 to OCD. We are on scene at 9*** Washington Blvd Fire Station 68. We have a 1 story Brick Structure with light smoke showing. Keep all units enroute."
"RA868 from OCD, Copy."

It turns out the computer in the EMS Captians office either over heated or something, because the whole inside of the computer was on fire and the smoke was all coming from there.
Man did our station here about that for a while. We got a Structure fire later that night and it was also on Washington Blvd. and OCD gave the dispatch and at the end said "Not fire Station 68. Repeat, NOT Fire Station 68"

Then every time the cheif would come by he would walk into the office and look at the computer and check to see if it was on fire.
