"Striving to learn or the Stale catergory?"
Is it me, or does it just seem like when a member obtains his interior cert. that that's about as far as it goes? Does one want to achieve more training or are they comfortable with where their at? I know we here, I don't have time, my schedule wont allow it, but I see these people finding time for everything else? Where do you want to be Striving or Stale?

In my opinion it's a wasted day if I don't learn at least one thing. Fire may always be fire, but tools and techniques change constantly. If you think you know it all and don't need to attend class or training because you have been around the fire service for years, then stay the hell away from me because you are going to get someone killed, and I'd rather it wasn't me.
