If I remember right David was flying a seat out of missoula montana during the Valley Mill fire in Washington state in 2007 and also flying again in 2008 in the Okanagan county and Grant county . I have the utmost respect for these pilots that can mean that property and lives can be saved by them taking the chances they due to surpress these fires. My heart goes out to David's family. I am really not looking forward to the fire season this year. I will be out on fires all season and although this means money in my pocket it is not easy for me to see the destruction that this causes , we do our best to stop them but the weather can cause us problems. The pilots that man these tankers and helecopters are the greatest although I have come out of them covered in retardent at least I am alive.
