we have a good bit. i cant remember all of them but the ones i do remember are lexington (were i volunteer), redbank, oakgrove, gilbert, pilion, lake murray, pine grove, and chapin. i think theres a few others but thats all i can remember haha

unless i totaly miss understood what you ment by that then this was a waist of time haha but thats the stations in our county.
Our area is primarily farmland, so the population is pretty spread out, but our department has 2 stations covering approximately 280 square miles.

The Mutual Aid District we are a part of covers approximately 1400 square miles and half of a federal park. The District consists of 8 departments (9 stations). I'll take a stab at the apparatus list, but I may miss something:

Pumpers 10
Tankers 4
Combination Pumper/Tanker 3
Tech Rescue 7
Foam Unit 1
Brush Truck 3

The majority of our fires are grass fires (60%), another 30% in vehicle accidents and the remaining 10% is everything from structure fires and false alarms to SAR and medical assists.

By the way, I like your last name - I am on the Harrison Fire Dept!
My fire district has two stations. We run a total of 9 units. 1 tanker, 2 tanker pumpers, 2 pumpers, 3 rescues and 1 service unit. We are expecting a fire/rescue boat by the summer of 2010.
we have 8 dept. in the county, everyone seems to work well together, some dept. are bigger than others with diff. opinions but when bad things happen were all on the same page!
The dept i was on only had 1 station but there were like 4 other towns within 10 mins if need be. and as far as the "out do"thing I don't understand that either. My dept was alwayse the butt of all the other depts jokes and what not wich obviously ticked my guys off and the other bigger depts were alwayse trying to take controll when theye were called for help. Me personally I don't care what dept a person is from or what "politics" are involved in the relationship between my dept and theres if I am on the same scene as them were all the same. I have alwayse disagreed with the petty bickering between depts and the "station politics" im tnere to help people and put the wet stuff on the hot things or whatever needs fixed. Im not there to play the "buddy game" and "show them up" or whatever.
