I've only been in the department for a little over a year but I've seen a decent amount of calls to have some stories. The main funny ones are drunk people. People around here like to get plastered and walk around on the streets. I had an MVA a couple months back where no one was hurt, however there was a dead sparrow stuck in the grill of the van that was involved in the auto accident. We got some laughs from that since it was pretty random.

Hm... as for other EMS alarms you some crazy people that are on narcotics or illicit drugs. It's funny how some people react. For example, one lady clings to walls when she walks. We also get this one guy practically every other day... which was funny at first, but now it's annoying. But it is funny to see him get yelled at by multiple members of the department since there's never anything wrong with him. He just wants a free ride to the hospital since he lives down the block from it.
I'd also like to add that my favorite calls are the following, in no specific order:
-EMS calls where I drive the ambulance. Call severity must be Bravo-Echo (so I can use lights/sirens)
-Working fires - this is why I initially joined.
-MVAs - I don't like people getting into car accidents persay, but MVAs are fun calls to go to. There's a lot to do, usually, and people are constantly driving by the scene so they can see what we, their fire department, is doing.

I'd also like to state what calls I hate going to:
-Alpha EMS alarms.
-Hazmat calls.
-EMS alarms to elderly/assisted living homes.
-EMS alarms in which we have to go to a hospital further away than our regular one.
-EMS alarms to sketchy houses/areas.

I don't mind automatic fire alarms or anything else really.
My favorite calls: any time we are cancelled en route before I leave the house. Everyone stays home safe. :o)

My worst call: five teens in an SUV vs. a tractor trailer, with both vehicles on fire.
Fav orite call- Man stuck in a chimney. His intent was to rob the place because he had been fired from the remodeling crew. However, the chimney was not as wide at the bottom as at the top, and he got stuck and had to yell for help. The best part is, that we made entry thru the unlocked back door. Can you say "duh".

One of the worst calls- Family from Canada on vacation. Lost control, crossed the interstate head on into a tractor trailer. Killed two adults and one chld. The truck driver, uninjured, was trying to take pictures of the victims and their totally destroyed RV, screaming and cussing that it was not his fault.
My worse call was a 13 year girl in a car wreck because the guy driving the car was drunk. That was the first call I ever went on.

Best call was taking a lady to the hospital when she coded when we pulled in we worked on her and shocked and she is home today I still talk to her all the time.
