Firefighers responded to the blaze at the former Truman Elementary School about 4 p.m. Sunday. Oklahoma City Fire District Chief Brian Stanaland says crews never were able to enter the building because of the intense flames.
The school closed in 1987. Oklahoma City Public Schools spokeswoman Kathleen Kennedy says the building had been vacant for more than 20 years.
Firefighters did not immediately determine the cause of the fire, although neighbors reported seeing teenagers running from the boarded-up building after setting off fireworks.

District Chief Brian Stanaland did one hell of a good interview with the media. He was in control, matter of fact, no nonsense and very complete. He must have taken a few lessons from Rob Leonard of DKC Communications in New York, NY.
Good Job!
