SWWWEEEEEEETTTTTTTT!
Well first of all this is a brotherhood and sisterhood so you refering to any of them as "morons" offends me as you may be refering to me. Second, as I have said before alot of small town deartments can not afford to buy big ten seat apparatus or large heavy rescues for everyone to ride in. There are alot of commercial cab and chassis apparatus out there doing the same job that some of the biggest custom apparatus are doing. With the same if not more dedicated firefighters operating them. As I see it we are all here to do the same job and I guess from your comment that most of us are doing it because we enjoy helping others.
I don't appreciate the comment in your statement and would appriciate it if you would not bother expressing your feeling toward other firefighters in my discussion panel.
I was going to comment on your last question about MVA liablity but I don't feel like wasting my time debating with someone with such a low reguard for "MY" brothers and sisters.

Do you see a big difference with the 200 watt siren? The ones around here sound the same as the 100 watt. Just wondering if yours truly is louder.
everone says its louder
Did ya atleast get the buck?It would've been a good deal then!
No, I left him in the ditch. I didn't feel much like looking at him after our encounter. And I don't like venison all that much.

But he was BIG, and it cost $7500 to fix the car.
Awsome. Thank you.
Jay be careful how you treat the Volley WACKERS. You may need them to save your butt one day. You never know when the area you are traveling through is covered by Volleys, POCs or full timers. I agree with you we need to respond on the truck ( when appropriate) I also agree with the other statement made that some departments have to have personnel respond in POVs. My department covers 120 sq miles from 2 stations there are many occasions when a member has to pass the scene enroute to the station. They frequently stop and begin sizeup to warn the responding officer if mutual aid may be needed. Or in the case of an MVA they can advise the need for a helicopter for transport. That said they also realize they have taken themselves out of the mix when the work begins as we dont carry our PPE it is in the station. However they can function as an operator or assist command as needed.
Ahem....

Not to hijack the thread (my apologies Jim, but I think you'll forgive me)....do you folks realize that there are more replies here on this thread about personal vehicles than there are signatures on the Seatbelt pledge?

If you haven't signed the Pledge, please....march yourself over and sign it. It will take longer to click on the link than to sign it.
Thanks---and now, back to our regularly scheduled programming:
