We have 35 firefighters (about 30 that are actually active in the department, whether it be to drill or calls) We have 2 fire engines, a brush truck, a ladder truck, and as soon as our new station is built we will have a tanker. (Which is supposed to be this year, hopefully it will be completed before winter) We don't have an ambulance, but I'm hoping once I get all my training (I'd like to eventually make it to paramedic) that I can convince them to get one :)
Hi we have two tankers two pumpers two brush trucks two rescue trucks one service truck. We are 23 strong.
we have five engines one tower ladder and one heavy rescue about 160 menbers one ofthe largest in western new york
I live in a village in Ohio that has 310 residents. We are trying to establish a department with little to no money.
Small town of Canisteo NY; we have 5 bays: 1 ambulance, 2 engines, 1 mini-pumper/"brush truck", 1 tanker, 1 atv and 1 row boat that hasn't come off the ceiling in about 20 years. we have 49 members with a maximum of 50 members. We currently have about 15 interior firefighters, a handful of guys who drive/operate apparatus, less than 10 firepolice (all are the older firemen that aren't ready to retire from the fire service), 5-10 new guys that have just finished or haven't started firefighter one, 1 chief, 2 asst chiefs, 3 fire captains, 1 ems captain, 1 firepolice captain. the rest are the lifetime members or the "ghost" members (you never see them unless there is a free meal involved) we cover about 100 sq miles for ambulance; a little less for fire, but run alot of mutual aid because we are surrounded by towns smaller than us.

we have a 4 bay station with radio room officers office and storage room are rescue is in number 1 engine 3 in bay 2 and engine 2 in bay 3 and engine 1 in bay 4 _ left to right)
We were just issued our FDI # this morning. We have three founding members. A old building 24x30 and a lot of ambition. Anyone want to help? We need almost everything, including a bigger building. Our department is in Northwest Ohio in a community of 310 persons. We will also provide mutual aid to surrounding departments. Our goal is a Pumper, Tanker and a SCBA trailer for county wide response.
Congratulations on your certification!
Caldwell VFD in Texas has 2 bays that were built into the original building (almost 100 years ago), then we added a metal building with one bay, we have three grass trucks Booster 129,130.132, and one tanker. 126 then we added another metal building with three bays, were we store our two engines 127, and 128, and our rescue truck sits in between the engines, Rescue 131. so six bays total.
Marvin Personette. RFFD 15 station1 Ridge Farm,Illinois. Population 350. We are 21 strong, all volunteer. 15 station1 is our only department. I might add, that this station is only 2 bay. In these 2 bays, we house a 1964 Ford pumper, a 1995 International rescue unit, a 1992 Pierce pumper, and a 2004 Pierce tanker. We house the biggest tanker in our county. Holds 3,000 gallons of water, and will dispense 1750 gallons per minute. Annually, we run approx. 150 calls. Mostly medical.
