Queens, NY Fatal Fire
(AP) NEW YORK
A fire in an 11-story building in Queens has claimed the life of one woman and injured four others.
New York City fire officials say the blaze was reported on the 10th floor just before 10 a.m. Wednesday. The building is on Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway.
Police say among those injured is another woman. She suffered serious injuries. They say two police officers who responded to the scene received minor injuries. A firefighter also suffered minor injuries. The condition of the fourth person is not yet known.
The victims' names and ages were not immediately known.
The fire was under control at 10:27 a.m.

Thank God it didn't happen at three O'clock in the morning,
it could have been much worse for the tenant's as well the
firefighters.
