Two young boys have been killed and their parents injured in a mobile home fire.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said 4-year-old Tyler Daniel Smith and his brother 1-year-old brother Hayden Anderson Smith died of smoke inhalation early Saturday after their parents awoke to find their home on fire.

Thomas "Trey" Smith, 29, and his wife, 25-year-old Jennifer, were treated and released from a Jackson hospital with minor injuries. Trey Smith attempted to rescue the boys after helping his wife escape through a window, but was turned back by intense flames, smoke and heat.

The home was fully engulfed in flames with firefighters arrived. Foul play is not suspected.

The boys' deaths marked the first fire fatalities in Warren County since March 2007.

This sucks!!! Being a MS native myself, these stories are always a tragedy but seems to add just a little bit more reality to it when it hits close to home. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family
