I was wondering if anyone on here can help us understand what we saw yesterday. We were pump testing 2 engines yesterday. The first went fine the second was fine until we reached the 50% test. With the proper hose layout, instead of the expected 56 psi on the pitot gage we saw 160 psi. What would cause this to happen?

Test the pitot with the original Engine and see if you get the same 56 psi. If it's not the pitot then contact the pump manufacturer.
Gate the valve back, at 250psi a valve wide open is gonna put some psi on the pitot tip. Are both your trucks the same GPM?
They are both single stage. The 1st truck that run fine was 1250 gpm. The second was 1000 gpm.
