Hello, In behalf of our volunteer fire brigade we would like to ask for your help If you or your fire station has old gear sitting around that no one uses or gear that is marked for garbage disposal please consider donating it to us or another volunteer fire brigade that is less fortunate. We are in the Philippines and do not have the advances in technology and gear that is easily available like in the US or UK. We have mainly coveralls and a hose with a tanker to fight a fire. We are trying to comply with NFPA standards but Emergency Response is still in its infancy here.
Your old gear could save the lives of those in countries or places that do not have any gear at all, for instance, a donated a gear (from Capt. Busy) saved the life of one of our firefighters during a firefighting. Molten asphalt was poured on the back of a firefighter and he was ok. Normally that firefighter would not be wearing protective gear because the gear is simple not available or far too expensive.
one firemans trash is anothers treasure.
One of our Firefighter Paramedics is an American that volunteers here in the Philippines, his family has agreed to ship boxed of equipment to us or if you would like to donate to us we can help you find the nearest Balikbayan Shipping to the Philippines. Our Website is:
www.pasig-alliance.co.nr and we are registered with the Philippines and we can issue you a receipt for your donations.
Thank you and God bless you!
