We were told on Thursday, April 2nd that my 12yr old son has a brain tumor. I am asking that everyone could say a prayer for him as he recovers. The tumor was removed on Tuesday the 8th of April, and we have been told that he is cancer free. He will have to be continously monitored and possibly take multiple medications to stimulate his hormones to fuction properly. The tumor was in between his pituitary gland and the optic nerve. We were told before surgery that if the tumor was not removed, he would possibly become blind. Since the surgery his vision is the same as it was prior. We are truely blessed at the outcome and hope and pray that his healing continues. Thanks

Consider your request taken care of! I hope he feels real better soon. Keep us updated on him.
God bless you Jonathan. I'm glad to here your son mad it through the surgery. I pray now that the Lord will ease your nerves and and allow you to count your blessings. Let me ask you something if you don't mind? When you were told the news about the tumor and what the options were and the chances, what were your emotions, feelings, & thoughts like? I mean did you have complete peace about it that you almost were wondering if you were being insensitive to it, or were you all anxious and nervous. The reason I ask this is because I've been in similar situations with my one son, and I completely relied on Him to see it through no matter what. I knew there was nothing I could do. Sometimes I wonder if I just don't take Christ for granted thinking He is going to make everything right. What about the rest of you and your experiences? We could use this for a discussion if you wanted to.

Hey, I'm glad everything turned out good. Can I ask what your sons name is?

God bless you and have a good evening!
real quick, his name is Jonathan. I will be on later to reply to the rest.
Jonathan,
Thank God the operation was a success. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May your son have a safe and speedy recovery. God bless you,
I will be remembering your family in my prayers, glad the surgery was a success!
thanks alot
Jonathan,
Is there an address you could possibly share to send a card of well wishes?
there sure is and by the way we are collecting pop-taps to donate to the Ronald McDonald house. They collected enough last year to raise over 300 thousand dollars to help them do what they did for us, provide housing for our entire family to stay while Jonathan was in the hospital. If anyone collects them, i will reimbuse them for shipping them to us. Tha address is--- Jonathan E. McNemar Jr.
285 Deer Trail Ave.
Canfield, Ohio 44406
I am sorry that i Have not been on to update but i still Plan on dooing that.
I promise
First of all I am extremely sorry that it took so long for me to reply. To answer your questions I think the first thing I thought was , What are we going to do now? You see, Jonathan doesn't live with me, he lives with his mom/step-dad. When I first got the phone call, I just wanted to hold him forever. We were told on April 2nd that the endocrynologist found a tumor on the MRI. On the 3rd we were on our way to University Hospital in CLeveland. At this time I think I was a bit overwhelmed at everything. I will admit, I do believe in GOD, but I don't go to church on a regular basis. However having to go through all of this, we now attend. I was really scared at what might happen but while my wife and I were at church with Jonathan before his surgery, I got a little awe-struck at the outpouring of support and prayer that was offered up, and continues to be poured out on his behalf. You never know how people feel that go through these things until you are thrust into the fire. Hope to hear from you soon, and feel free to ask any more questions you have. STAY SAFE !
I was just wondering if you are still deployed over seas? God bless you for what you do.
