Alright folks, even though we work hard at the fires, we usually find something to chuckle about when we return to the station and begin cleaning hoses, refilling air packs and so on.

Here's my departments latest: I live in Northern Lower Michigan and am a member of a damn fine dept. Last November we responded to a mutual aid call for a structure fire. As usual, we were doing the interior attack when we happened to notice the television was still on.

Though we were a bit suprised the power had not yet been cutoff, we got a kick out of the fact that we could do an interior attack and watch Sportscenter at the same time. Unfortunately, our fine work did not make the top ten plays of the day...

I like fun too but it seems to me that if I was inside a structure during a fire and noticed an electrical appliance powered on, hot electrical wires would come to mind and would report it. That way someone could make sure the meter was pulled and no one would get electrocuted.

I have had a fireplace going while watching TV but that is a different scenario. TCSS
