try ebay go into collectibles , historical memorabilia firefighting & rescue , you can normally find a few good helmets on there.

Good luck with that. If you do find something let the rest of us know too. lol. I buy all my stuff at Admerals in Scarboro Maine. But there's always the firestore.com

google new yorker / sam hosuton craiglist to search craigslist as well... Found mine there for 400.00 and right color..

yes jeff you can try the firestore if you want to pay anywhere between 400.and 600 for a helmet i was there 2 weeks ago and the cheapest 1 i seen was 525

I GOT MINE AT A CHIEF'S SHOW FOR ABOUT $400.00 W/ THE BORGE SHIELDS FROM CAIRNS N5A ANYWHERE ELSE WILL COST YOU PLENTY AND I ALWAYS LIKE TO TRY IT ON BEFORE I BUY IT. I WENT TO A BIG CITY DEPT WHERE I TRIED ON ABOUT 60 DIFFERENT HELMET TYPES, SIZES, W&W/O BORGES. I FIGURE IT IS A ONCE IN MY LIFETIME BUYS AND I WANTED THE BEST WITH THE BEST PROTECTION. BOB

sometimes Conway has cosmetic seconds for cheaper. But its no Cairns. Phenix has a nice lid too and is significantly less $$ and weight.
